Business overview
Water Creations Swim Academy (WCSA) is a family-run swim school and STA Approved Training Centre based in Hertfordshire, teaching babies, toddlers, children and adults to swim. Lessons run from three private-school pools: St Edmund's College in Ware, Heath Mount School in Watton-at-Stone, and Queenswood in Brookmans Park. WCSA began as a small weekend teaching hobby run by founder Cory Abrahams and grew into a family business now co-run with his mother and co-director, Gemma Abrahams, who left a career in imports and exports to help build the academy. What started as Cory & Syd Swim School in February 2019 became Water Creations later that same year, and the academy has been teaching local families for more than seven years. Every WCSA teacher is STA and Swim England trained, with ongoing development through our own STA-approved training programme, and coaches get in the water alongside each child rather than instructing from poolside. Our bespoke learn-to-swim programme guides swimmers through preschool stages and Levels 1-7 in small classes, with certificates and swim hats included in every lesson price. Beyond weekly group and private lessons, WCSA runs school holiday swim camps and STA teacher training courses for aspiring instructors aged 16 and over. The academy also supports water-safety education in the UK and non-profit swim initiatives overseas, including work in Uganda delivered through Angel Swim London and a separate project in the Philippines. WCSA is known locally for warm teaching, small class sizes and outstanding word-of-mouth reviews.
